49 Ways To Enjoy Your Snowstorm

You can have a perfectly great day today despite this snow.

You know there’s a driveway out there somewhere. You also know that they couldn’t pay you to find it today. But just because it’s a polar vortex outside doesn’t mean you have to be miserable! Whether you’re going out or staying in, we’ve prepared you a master list of things to occupy yourself while the world unthaws.

  1. Catch up on your beauty sleep.
  2. Read that book you’ve had on your nightstand for like, 3 years.
  3. Listen to the radio.
  4. Make hot chocolate
  5. Practice a musical instrument of your choice.
  6. Write a song.
  7. Make paper snowflakes to hang in the windows.
  8. Rearrange a room in your home or apartment.
  9. Pin a ton of crafts you’ll never actually do on Pinterest.
  10. Actually make a craft or recipie from Pinterest.
  11. Make 1,000 paper origami cranes.
  12. Relax/meditate.
  13. Write a letter to your grandma.
  14. Build a scrapbook.
  15. Bust out that old LEGO Set
  16. Make a fort out of blankets and pillows.
  17. Make a YouTube video.
  18. Research your family history.
  19. Build a paper airplane fleet.
  20. Write a beautiful poem.
  21. Waste incredible amounts of time looking at Memes
  22. Plan a surprise party.
  23. Dye your hair with Koolaid. (But don’t forget it’s permanent)
  24. Paint your fingernails and/or toenails.
  25. Carve apples.
  26. Netflix that guilty pleasure of yours. That’s right, you Downton Abbey die-hards.
  27. Facebook stalk your middle school crush.
  28.  Play outside with your friends.
  29.  Have a snowy photo shoot.
  30. Play some drinking games
  31.  Play two-player board games you’ve had shoved in the closet for years.
  32. Master a single player card game. May I suggest one of the dozens of verisons of Solitare?
  33. Dance around the house in your PJ’s. You know you’ve been dying to crank up that Beibs.
  34. Make cookies from scratch.
  35. Dig out your childhood jigsaw puzzles and put one together.
  36. Play with your pets, they get cabin fever too.
  37. Make homemade cat toys out of everyday objects.
  38. Snow Selfies!
  39. Watch your favorite childhood cartoon.
  40. Take a bubble bath.
  41. Sled down the highest hill in your neighborhood. Show those 10 year olds who’s boss.
  42. Build a snowman.
  43. Make snow ice cream.
  44. Have a snowball fight with your neighbors.
  45. Bust out some crayons and print your own coloring pages.
  46. Sew something for your mom.
  47. Listen to every song ever played by your favorite band.
  48. Follow an awesome new blog. (I know of a good one…)
  49. Search for more lists of things to do when snowed in.
